Refunds and Cancellations

Effective date: June 1, 2026

Project Deposits

All BrightLane engagements require a deposit before work begins. Deposit amounts are outlined in the project proposal or agreement. Deposits cover initial discovery, planning, and resource allocation. Because work begins promptly upon deposit receipt, deposits are non-refundable once the project has been initiated unless BrightLane is unable to commence the work within a mutually agreed timeframe.

Cancellation Policy

Either party may cancel a project engagement by providing written notice via email. If the Client cancels after work has commenced, payment is due for all work completed up to the date of cancellation, calculated at our standard hourly rate or as a proportional share of the project fee. BrightLane will provide a clear breakdown of billable work upon cancellation request. Cancellations must be sent to hello@joinbrightlane.com.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. A full or partial refund may be issued if BrightLane fails to deliver the agreed scope of work within the agreed timeline through no fault of the Client. No refunds are issued for completed and delivered milestones that the Client has approved. Refunds are not available for services where the Client has provided feedback, approved deliverables, or requested revisions, as this confirms acceptance of the work delivered.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, send an email to hello@joinbrightlane.com with your project name, a description of the issue, and the refund amount requested. We will acknowledge your request within two business days and aim to resolve all refund enquiries within 14 business days. Approved refunds are issued via the original payment method or by bank transfer, and may take 5-10 business days to appear depending on your financial institution.
